This presentation has been planned and developed for teenage audiences. It aligns with The Victorian Curriculum Level 7 to 10, specifically in Biological sciences and Science as a human endeavour.
The concept of ‘think global, act local’ is considered and incorporated throughout the presentation.
Students will be empowered with first-hand examples of how their choices and decisions, as they move to independence, can greatly impact their immediate environment and the biodiversity within it.
Through the experiences of local wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators students will;
be inspired by the challenges our wildlife face
be connected to, and better understand wildlife from a local perspective
Local statistics, case studies of rescued wildlife and video footage are incorporated in this presentation to captivate and empower students and inspire tomorrow’s wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators.
